Cricket Program for Intermediate

Our Interview Program is designed for young cricketers aged 13 to 15 years who are ready to hone their skills for competitive cricket. Building on the fundamentals learned in earlier levels, players will be exposed to advanced techniques, match strategies, and specialized coaching to prepare them for higher levels of competition.

Program Highlights:

  • Specialized Skill Development:

    • Players begin to focus on their key strengths, whether it’s batting, bowling, or fielding.

    • Individualized coaching to help players refine their specialty skills.

  • Advanced Batting Techniques:

    • Shot Mastery: Working on a wider range of offensive and defensive shots under match-like conditions.

    • Strategic Play: Understanding field placements, building an innings, and pacing the game.

  • Bowling Specialization:

    • Pace, Swing & Spin: Advanced coaching in different bowling styles, emphasizing variations and tactical use.

    • Match Preparation: Simulating real-game situations to improve decision-making under pressure.

  • Fielding and Wicket-Keeping:

    • Refining catching, throwing, and diving techniques with an emphasis on match performance.

    • Training specialized wicketkeepers to sharpen their reflexes and positioning.

  • Game Strategies and Teamwork:

    • Understanding match tactics, field placements, and game scenarios.

    • Players learn to communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates.

  • Match Simulation and Competitive Play:

    • Coaches simulate match situations to prepare players for competitive games.

    • Emphasis on mental preparation, endurance, and resilience.

What to Expect:

  • Intensive training sessions on a 22-yard pitch.

  • Use of professional equipment, including hard leather balls.

  • Guidance on developing as an individual player while working within a team.

Ideal For:

  • Children aged 13-15 years who are serious about advancing to competitive and professional levels of cricket.

The Washington Cricket Academy (WCA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to bringing power and awareness of cricket directly to D.C. Metro area cities. WCA is creating the necessary platform for young cricketers (age 6-18) to learn and play cricket professionally.

This organization coordinates events that teach kids how to improve skills so that they can maximize their public exposure. Since WCA’s inception in 2016 WCA has enrolled, coached, and progressed  200+ kids in the program across the age groups 6-16. WCA’s mentorship to the community kids has enabled them to participate in 10+  tournaments across the United States and Internationally.
